Lions Bargain Centre
Our Club runs a monthly Sale located at the corner of Glebe Road and Portrush Road, (opposite the Fire Station), Glen Osmond on the First Saturday of each month. All proceeds primarily support local charities.
The Club also runs a sausage sizzle to provide morning tea (and even breakfast) to the hungry customers and the Lions members on garage sales days. Sausage with onion with sauce & mustard $2.50, Tea, Coffee $2 & Lions Cake Slices $2 ea.
This is the Club’s major fundraising activity.
Community BBQs
Our lion members love to cook up a storm on the BBQ in our local community. You will often see us serving up a delicious sausage sizzle to raise much needed funds for community projects; it is a great way to fundraise for our club. But you will also see us out at community events, on the BBQ, supporting other community groups and organisations.
Lions Christmas Cakes & Puddings
The Lions Christmas Cake and Pudding program has been a major fund-raising project of Lions Australia since 1965 and raised more than $56mill. The proceeds from this project are donated back into the community on great causes including Blindness Prevention and Vision improvement projects, Medical Research, Children’s Mobility Foundation, Eye Health Program, Hearing Dogs, Disaster Relief, Aged Care, Drug Awareness and Youth Programs.
You can rest assured that should you purchase a product from this program the proceeds generated will be put to good use in the community.
Lions Mints
Our club sells lions mints in various shops and medical practices. From mint and spearmint to fruit tingles and musk, there’s a flavour for everyone. All proceeds raised from mint sales go back into our club’s community projects.
